My Active Center

Registration Updates - January 3rd, 2023

We are making a change to our pre-registration and payment process.  As of Tuesday JAN 3rd, online pre-registration goes away.  Going forward you will have more daily flexibility in your choices for exercise and dance classes.

You will still be able to SEE our activities and events (for info only) on MyActiveCenter.com -- but you will NOT use that application for registration.

Exercise / Dance /Yoga classes no longer require advance registration or the purchase of a series.  You may 'show-up' and PAY-AS-YOU-GO for the class:

  • Arrive up to 15 minutes early
  • Check-in at the front desk with your key-fob
  • Pay in the Community Room, either $3 or $5, before the class and ENJOY!
  • Some classes are FREE, making it even easier.
  • Please bring exact cash payment.

Additional instructions are below.  If you have questions, please call us at 978-671-0916.

For Special Events and Programs, we will ask that you sign-up by calling or stopping by the COA Front Desk in-person to put your name on the list.  Sign-up deadlines and capacity limits will be listed in the Outlook Newsletter, on posted Flyers, on Facebook, etc.  These types of events are:

Arrival 'Check-in' Using MySeniorCenter, at our Reception Desk

The Billerica COA uses an automated check-in system called MySeniorCenter at our reception desk. The system is designed to help our staff members track participation and volunteer service, and improve the way we report our services to the Town and the Executive Office of Elder Affairs.  It enables us to quickly and accurately detail the services we are providing which will increase our chances of receiving additional funding in the future. Over 900 senior centers across the U.S. and Canada use MySeniorCenter  – so it is a proven tool.

This system is extremely easy to use.  All visitors and volunteers receive a small key tag which can attach to your key ring (the card contains no personal information, but it will allow the system to recognize you).  Instead of signing in on a sheet of paper, you scan your key tag at the reception desk and use the touchscreen to select the programs you are participating in that day or to indicate the volunteer service you are providing.
